Professor of Media Technologies, School of Journalism and Mass Communications (AUTH)

Dr. Dimoulas Charalampos obtained his Diploma (1997) and PhD (2006) from the School of Electrical & Computer Engineering, AUTH, with post-doctoral research (2008) at the Laboratory of Electronic Media, School of Journalism & Mass Communications AUTH, specializing in intelligent processing and management of audiovisual content. He is currently serving as a professor at the School of Journalism and Mass Communications (AUTH) and is also the director of the Laboratory of Electronic Media. He is one of the authors of the book Cross-Media Authentication and Verification: Emerging Research and Opportunities.

His current scientific interests include media technologies, machine learning, audiovisual content management, digital forensics and more. Dr. Dimoulas has participated in over 30 national and international research projects. He is a member of IEEE and AES, serving as a JAES associate editor on signal processing and audio semantics, and he participates in the initiative for the Greek media misinformation observatory (
