Add to my calendar

In a world where there are no more lockdowns and quarantines the podcast industry is taking a turn (or a slight halt). Monetization problems, huge layoffs by big players, oversupply and/or celebrityfication of content, repackaged radio programming seem to stand in the way of further audio expansion.

Is the podcast boom over? Or are we just going through a phase of market correction? What lies in the future? Is there a model of financial sustainability for self financed pods or the attachment to legacy media is the only way forward?
