Climate journalism has tremendous potential for bridging the gap between science and the public but is not yet delivering the message right. How can we turn the complex reality of climate change into stories that humans can understand and relate to? How can we inform and captivate citizens with real-life examples and inspire action? This panel conversation will bring together journalists, NGO workers and YouTubers who have found a way to cut through news avoidance and rejection to engage audiences around climate topics.

They will share with the Forum's audience how they translated the complexities of climate science into relatable human stories that can better inform and inspire a diverse public and policymakers to act. Their fresh approach to environmental reporting shows collaboration between journalists and NGOs, the use of OSINT and deployment of new storytelling methods can help reshape climate narratives and influence the portrayal of critical topics like wildfires, drought and climate justice.
