Reporters Without Borders (RSF) is an international non-profit organisation governed by principles of democratic governance. It is neither a trade union nor a representative of media companies.

Founded in 1985 in Montpellier by four journalists, RSF is at the forefront of the defence and promotion of freedom of information. Recognised as a public interest organisation in France since 1995, RSF has consultative status with the United Nations, UNESCO, the Council of Europe and the International Organization of Francophonie (OIF).

Attending the Μedia Village will be:

• Eva Anastasiadou, Journalism Trust Initiative Representative for Greece

Eva graduated from the International and European Studies department of Panteion University, and holds an MScEcon in Intelligence and Strategic Studies from the University of Aberystwyyth. She worked as a researcher at the Royal United Services Institute in London and at the the Institute of International Relations in Athens, and since 2015 she has been a columnist for various periodicals and websites. In April she joined Reporters Without Borders' "Journalism Trust Initiative" in order to promote trustworthy journalism and create a viable ecosystem of media.

• Vincent Berthier, Head of tech desk, Spinoza Project Manager

Vincent has been head of the technology division at Reporters Without Borders (RSF) since 2022, and is also a doctoral researcher in information science, specializing in AI and journalism. Within RSF, he is behind several projects such as the Charter of Paris on AI and journalism and the Spinoza Project, and campaigns to make the AI ecosystem more respectful of the integrity of information.

• Julie Majerczak, Representative to the EU

Julie is the Reporters Without Borders Representative to the European Institutions. She has represented the international press freedom NGO at the EU level since May 2016. Before joining RSF, Julie was a journalist for 16 years. She moved to Brussels in 2002 to report on EU affairs for the French daily newspaper Libération for which she worked for ten years.

She also reported for the French daily newspaper Le Parisien, RTL radio and the online media outlet Contexte. Before that, Julie worked in politics as an MEP assistant and as a political adviser to a French environment minister. Born in Paris, she has a Master in Law and is a graduate of Sciences Po Paris.

• Meïlie Tang, Project Officer for the Journalism Trust Initiative

Meïlie is project officer for the Journalism Trust Initiative at Reporters Without Borders. She supports outlets in the JTI process and manages grants for media. She especially focuses on Europe. Before joining RSF, Meïlie worked as a project and fundraising officer for education and development NGOs. She graduated in International Relations from Sciences Po Aix.
