Johny Cassidy has been a BBC journalist for more than fifteen years during which time he’s worked on the majority of the BBC’s flagship business news programmes. He’s recently transitioned to the BBC News website where he’s developed a particular interest in digital accessibility. He was a Fellow with the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism in 2022 where his research focused on why blind people mustn’t be left behind in the visual data revolution. He’s also the co-chair of the BBC’s disabled staff network BBC Ability where he advocates for more disabled representation across all of the BBC.
