Shirish Kulkarni

News Innovation Research Fellow, Media Cymru

Shirish Kulkarni is an award-winning journalist, researcher and community organiser working on new ways to build more effective, engaging and inclusive journalism. He has more than 25 years experience working in all the UK's major broadcast newsrooms and at The Bureau of Investigative Journalism. In his role as News Innovation Research Fellow of Media Cymru (an innovation consortium based in south Wales) he is currently leading the News for All project - a major collaboration with the BBC focused on better understanding and meeting the needs of marginalised people and communities.
