Apolena Rychlíková is an award-winning Czech journalist and documentary filmmaker. She was the first Czech nomimated to European Press Prize. Her work focuses on issues of social inequality, labour and the labour market, gender, the position of minorities, housing, and she is also a political commentator and analyst. Her investigative work focuses primarily on exposing cases of sexual violence. In addition to her journalistic work, she has worked with leading media outlets on podcasts and films. She has co-authored several books. She is a lecturer at the Academy of Performing Arts.
