Flynn Gerald

Staff Writer, Mongabay

Gerald Flynn has been reporting from Cambodia for more than four years, including one year as a Rainforest Investigations Network fellow with the Pulitzer Center where he exposed ties between illegal logging in the Cardamom Mountains and senior figures within the Cambodian government and military, as well as an illicit timber trading network operating out of a prison, along with the fashion industry’s role in the destruction of Cambodia’s forests. He is now a staff writer for Mongabay and is based in Phnom Penh with his long-suffering wife and two cats.
