Marcia Parker leads a team developing newsroom initiatives funded by foundations and in partnership with nonprofit and for profit news organizations. She also serves as Board President of the Institute for Nonprofit News, which strengthens and supports more than 425 independent, nonpartisan public service-driven news organizations. Prior to joining the Times, Marcia was the publisher and chief operating officer of CalMatters, an award-winning nonpartisan, nonprofit news media venture covering California state government. She also managed news partnerships at the Center for Investigative Reporting. Marcia has a master’s degree from Tufts University’s Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy.
