How not to lie with statistics
Add to my calendar

What is the fine line between certainty and uncertainty in statistics? What exactly constitutes a lie? What is the term “Greek Statistics” associated with and how did it find its place in the public discourse? These are some of the questions this workshop aims to address by focusing on media coverage of statistics. By looking at examples and counter-examples, we probe the issue of deception through statistics and come up with good practices that promote accuracy and integrity in journalism.
