Dimitrios Karlis

Professor, Αthens University of Economics and Business

Dimitris Karlis is a Professor at the Department of Statistics, Athens University of Economics and Business (AUEB). He is director of postgraduate studies within the same department and co-founder of the AUEB Sports Analytics Research Group. His research focus ranges from biostatistics and computational statistics, to multivariate count data analysis and models for statistical analysis applicable to various scientific fields. He has served in positions of responsibility for various scientific organizations. Alongside his main research activity, he has worked on various private/public/EU-funded projects involving official statistics, clinical trials, financial studies, etc.
