AI in small newsrooms - How to make an AI project possible with a good strategy & collaboration [Part II]
Add to my calendar

When introducing AI into a newsroom, the process goes beyond just utilizing data and technology – it starts with the people. This exercise is designed to help you kickstart an AI project within your newsroom, harnessing the support of your team members, identifying potential collaborations or partnerships, accessing essential information sources, and obtaining the necessary skills (which may not always be available in-house for long-term innovation projects). This part of the workshop is tailored for journalists with a basic understanding of data projects and investigative research. Our goal is to collectively brainstorm and explore best practices for applying for grants or seeking other forms of support, be it internal or external, to develop an AI & journalism project.

*Participants will need to bring their own laptops or tablets.

Attending this workshop will be more constructive if participants have previously attended the first part of the workshop, "AI in small newsrooms - Challenges and opportunities [Part I]".
