The documentary "Bad Blood" is a part of the investigative docu serial The Newsroom tasked to maximize the impact of investigative non profit newsroom through collaboration with filmmakers and campaigning. When a man mysteriously dies after an expensive COVID 19 treatment exclusively offered in one of Western Balkans' most prestigious private hospitals, his family starts an institutional battle to prove that it was not the virus that killed their beloved husband and father, but the man who claimed that he had the magic cure for the vicious pandemic. Fearing that the corruptive ties between the state and the powerful doctor and owner of the Zan Mitrev Hospital will prevent them from revealing the truth, the family reports the case in the Investigative Reporting Lab, a member center of OCCRP based in Skopje, North Macedonia.

The screening will be followed by a discussion with Saska Cvetkovska, investigative reporter and co-founder of the Investigative Reporting Lab (IRL) and the film's director Trifun Sitnikovski.
