Erana Stennett

Director Bloomberg Media Initiative Africa

Erana Stennett has led an extensive career in government, the nonprofit and corporate sectors. Currently, Erana manages Bloomberg Corporate Giving in Africa, including the Bloomberg Media Initiative Africa (BMIA), part of Bloomberg’s Global Business and Financial Journalism Education Program, to advance business and financial reporting around the world. BMIA currently operates in eight countries in sub-Saharan Africa. From 2001-2021, Erana led Bloomberg’s corporate giving in the Americas. She serves on senior leadership groups at Bloomberg, including Bloomberg’s Senior Women’s Forum, and the Multicultural Leaders Forum, and serves on several nonprofit boards in the United States. Erana held senior positions in New York City government, and the nonprofit sector.
