Under the canopy, down the river: Investigative journalism in the forests of the Amazon and Southeast Asia
Add to my calendar

The planet's tropical regions are intimately connected to the world's most lucrative, legal or illegal supply chains. Beef, gold, timber, clothing, soy, palm oil. These are just some of the products that originate from farms, mines and factories located in countries in the Amazon or South East Asia. In this panel, fellows from the Pulitzer Center's Rainforest Investigations Network will show examples of recent reporting from Brazil and Cambodia. These investigations reveal supply chains connected to timber theft, land invasions and threats to indigenous communities.
